Rezumat

In the framework of this research we are analysing the main internal and external factors which are influencing the political situation in Republic of Moldova that affect the national security. In this regard the sociological method of individual interviews was applied involving personalities from Republic of Moldova representing different domains (political, economical, academic, non-governmental, mass-media). In the opinion of experts the external elements with biggest influence on Republic of Moldova security are especially the opportunities of globalization process. Regarding the negative aspects of globalization process, most of them assert that efficient governance can considerably diminish these implications. As conditions for the social and economic development of the state were considered necessary: the suitable functioning of judicial system, the attraction of foreign investments, the real sustaining and development of small business. But the approach of the national security assurance problems of Republic of Moldova provokes different points of view regarding the neutrality statute and NATO adhesion. Nevertheless all of them consider that for approaching with Europe Republic of Moldova has to make more reforms and progress in the democratization process.
