Rezumat

Death punishment is on of the most discussed subject in the theory of criminal law. There are arguments in favor or against stipulation of the death punishment in criminal codes of different countries, depending of its necessity and contribution to prevention of criminality. This punishment was very popular in ancient time, bur during the evolution of civilization its importance was diminished. This article makes an analysis of concept and role of death punishment in the criminal law.
