Rezumat

The penal responsibility for the embezzlement of the alien property in the legislature of some Western countries (Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, and Argentina) is analyzed in the present article. In this comparison, the author concentrates on revealing the differences and similarities among the mentioned settlements, in order to identify the solutions of adjusting the norms of the national penal law to the international principles of human rights.
