CONFERINŢA ŞTIINŢIFICO-PRACTICĂ „10 ANI AI ÎNVĂŢĂMÂNTULUI ÎN ASISTENŢĂ SOCIALĂ: REALIZĂRI, PROBLEME ŞI PERSPECTIVE DE SOLUŢIONARE”

Rezumat

On November 14, 2008, Moldova State University (MSU) hosted the Scientific Practical Conference “10 years of Social Work Education: Accomplishments, Problems and Perspectives”. The participants addressed a range of issues concerning the implementation of social policies, reforms in the domain of social work, training of staff for the social assistance system, establishment of an inter-institutional collaboration and others. The conference brought together the academic community, public authorities and NGOs involved in the process of social workers’ training. The activities of the academic staff in the domain was highly praised by Professor Gheorghe Ciocanu, rector of the MSU; Valentina Buliga, head of the Parliament’s Commission for Social Protection, Healthcare and Family; Lucia Gavrilita, deputy minister of Social Protection, Family and Child; Anatol Danila, consultant of the Ministry of Education and Youth; Svetlana Chifa, head of the Municipal Division of Children’s Rights Protection; deans and heads of departments of the Alecu Russo State University in Balti, Ion Creanga State Pedagogic University, Free International University of Moldova, Cahul College; directors of NGOs providing social assistance services; experts and professors from Romania (C.Muresan), USA (D.Harisson, John Meyer), Germany (D.Gross), Netherlands (B.Kriestensen). The articles presented below have been worked out on the basis of the presentations and speeches held within the Conference.
