Rezumat

The following article presents the perceptions, attitudes, opinions of young people about the changes that occurred in Moldovan society during the 16 years of independence. Also the article aims to present the impact of the transformation period on youth situation and state of fact. All this is grounded on the analysis of the data collected from 60 in-depth interviews, 12 focus group discussions and 70 essays. The qualitative research results allowed structuring the youth experiences in few main sections: - the belief of the independence phenomenon, that in final instance was appreciated as a formal one; - attitudes, opinions about the old, socialist / communist regime (by meaning the appreciation of the present situation in the country); - attitudes, beliefs and opinions about the produces changes after the independence declaration of the Republic of Moldova – that were divided in positive and negative; - the youth role in the Moldovan society – that is appreciated as a much diminished one; - the opinions about the personal and the country‘s future. Opinions that mostly pointed out a pessimistic attitude towards the future change in the Moldovan society, underlying the contradictory changes, uncertainty of politics and economy. The research allows to ground important conclusions that youth in Moldova fully possess a good knowledge and positioning of the social processes evolution. The creativity and the criticism are two specific features by meaning of which this social group is percepts the reality.
