SOCIETATEA MOLDOVENEASCĂ ÎN VIZIUNEA TINERILOR: PERCEPŢII, OPINII ŞI ATITUDINI VIS-À-VIS DE SITUAŢIA ŞI SCHIMBĂRILE DIN ŢARĂ

Rezumat
In 2006 – 2008 Sociology and Social Work Faculty (MSU) in partnership with Caledonian University – Glasgow (UK), Central European University, Independent Service of Information and Sociology „Opinia” (Moldova), has implemented the project „Childhood and Youth Transitions in a Transforming Society: The Case of Moldova”. The project was financed by The International Association for the promotion of co-operation with scientists from the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union (INTAS). The study included a national sociologic research based on quantitative (a 2000 youth sample age 16 – 30, from 92 settlements) and qualitative methods (60 in-depth interviews, 12 focus groups, 70 essays from general and vocational schools). The research was grounded on the social quality model a first attempt of a research like this in the country. The combination of different methods allowed to construct a comprehensive image about the transition impact on youth, their specific needs, conditions and life style, social aspirations the belief in the country of the future. Recommendations for policy straightening were elaborated after completing the research. The articles from the present publication represent some of the key topics analyzed in the qualitative research.
