Rezumat

The article examined the social protection system of our country, the legal framework of social protection. Social protection objectives are achieved by two distinct systems: the social insurance and social assistance. The author analyzed advantages and weaknesses of social protection system. The solution proposed by the author for an effectively functioning of this system is codification of social protection law and effective reforms in this area.
