Rezumat

Like any social phenomenon, corruption is a reality that evolves gradually, subject to the conditions of existence of a particular society. Also, as with other phenomena, the evolution of corruption can be analyzed in order to carry out forecasts being taken into consideration the causes that generate the phenomenon, the impact on the socio-economicpolitical attitude of the state and civil society on the existence of the phenomenon. The purpose of data analysis is to achieve a general approach to present methodologies aimed at making the assessment of recent acts of corruption at the international level. To achieve this goal it is initially required a review of the methodologies applied in the research of corruption. Objective benchmarking of the magnitude of corruption at international level is a difficult task due to the capacity of the phenomenon and the variety of forms that it takes. During the last two decades it has led to an explosion of methodologies due to increased interest in measurement and combating of corruption.
