INTEGRITATEA PUBLICĂ CA INSTRUMENT DE PREVENIRE A FENOMENULUI CORUPŢIEI ÎN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA

Rezumat
In consolidated democracies integrity is one of the major strengths of the public administration. Public integrity is an essential component of good governance, thus closely linked to quality services that public officials offer to the citizens. Building an honest behavior of a public official is a priority solution to prevent corruption. Honest behavior is shown by uncorrupted and candid conduct. In general, the term „corruption” is related to the „bribe”, but in reality, corruption is not limited to giving or taking a bribe, which is only a part of corruption. This article aims to promote new forms of corruption prevention. Maintaining institutional and individual integrity of the civil servants by assessment of corruption risks represents the most pragmatic international solution in prevention of the corruption phenomenon.
