ESTIMAREA PRODUCTIVITĂŢII ŞTIINŢIFICE A SAVANŢILOR DIN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA

Rezumat
Based on indicators of scientific productivity calculated by Journal SCImago & Country Rank and Thomson ISI this article evaluates Moldovan's position regarding the number of scientific papers. Also article presents the data regarding the Moldovan scholars’ collaboration in scientific publishing in different scientific disciplines in the period from 2001 to 2010. In the period from 2001 to 2010, the Moldovan scientists affiliated with research institutions within the Republic of Moldova, published a total of 2.727 papers in journals covered by the Science Citation Index (SCI). Out of these papers, 1.674 (61,40%) were Articles published in ISI journals. The Moldovan scientists were most productive in the main scientific fields: Physics, Condensed Matter (380 articles, 18,40%), Applied Physics (237 articles, 14,16%), Inorganic & Nuclear Chemistry (219 articles, 13,08%), and Materials Science, Multidisciplinary (187 articles, 11,08%). Out of the above 2.727 publications, 1.546 (56.69%) were published in international collaboration.
