Rezumat

Moldova's aspirations towards the European integration as well as close proximity to the European area requires the implementation of a comprehensive analysis of the current migration trends of the Moldovan population towards the European states, in order to promote a process of cooperation with the European Union and to strengthen the institutional capacities of Moldovan migration flows management here, which is in the interest of the European community too. The present paper examines the importance of Republic of Moldova and European Union partnership in the field of migration, by making an analysis of the main European initiatives in which Moldova participates: the European Neighborhood Policy, the Global Approach on Migration, Mobility Partnership etc.
