CRIMINAL LIABILITY OF THE MINOR IN COMPARATIVE LAW

Abstract
This article analyzes the rights of minors accused of committing crimes in the context of judicial proceedings, namely the important aspects related to the fundamental rights of minors in judicial proceedings, such as the guarantee
of a fair trial, including the effective participation of a lawyer and access to his services , the rights of detained minors,
preventive detention, protection against ill-treatment and arrest or detention in conditions contrary to the provisions
of international treaties as well as the right to an effective remedy. Also, the guiding principles related to the deprivation of liberty of minors, the age of criminal responsibility of minors and the special provisions in the application of
criminal punishments regarding minors in different states are analyzed.
