LEGAL ABILITY AND LEGAL ASSISTANCE GUARANTEED BY THE STATE AS PREMISES FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS

Legal awareness and empowerment imply formation of those skills and attitudes to trust and capitalize on the protection offered by the law. An effective tool in this regard is primary legal assistance, including through the network
of paralegals. The state-guaranteed legal aid system contributes to the realization of constitutional principles not only
by facilitating access to justice, but also by sensitizing communities/inhabitants to understand that they have certain
legal problems; help people solve their individual legal problems they face; mobilizing community members to solve
common problems; strengthening respect for the law; legal and civic education of community members; accountability of power exponents and mobilization of public authorities in solving community problems.
