The article makes a unique contribution by critically analyzing the mainstreaming of gender and disability in the
budgeting processes of major multilateral agencies, with a focus on the efforts of global organizations such as the UN,
the European Commission and the World Bank. Using an intersectional approach, the research reveals current gaps
and challenges in the allocation of budgets and the application of gender and disability indicators, highlighting the
need for improvements for real inclusion. Key findings point to the lack of consistency in the use of specific markers
and the need for monitoring measures to ensure transparency and effectiveness of funding for vulnerable groups.
