Rezumat

Republic of Moldova has committed to establish an economy based on market economic relations and integration into the global economy. The reform of agriculture and agri-food sector is considered to be a crucial part of the country's transition period from the model of an agricultural country to the establishment of a modern European country. In accordance with this purpose, the main strategic objectives of regional agricultural policy are based on the promotion of efficient production, processing and marketing agricultural products; ensuring the competitiveness of agricultural and Moldavian food products on world markets; protecting the natural resources of Republic of Moldova and food security ensuring, also, food availability of goods at minimum cost.
