The adverb is the part of speech that can render the meaning of voice. These are as a rule those words that are formed from verbs via adjectives. The semantics of these words as introductory ones is of special interest as they give the utterance a particular content in which the author expresses his/her idea about what is being said. The adverbs denote the meanings of the passive, reciprocal and reflexive voices. The adverbs denoting reciprocal meaning are bivalent on both levels, semantic and syntactic, in comparison with those that render passivity and do not have their subjective valency expressed syntactically. Sometimes the two meanings of voice passive and reciprocal overlap. Alongside the meaning of voice the adverb expresses the meaning of modality.
