Rezumat

This article comes with an analysis of the evolution of concepts and ideals of modern and postmodern society of the last two centuries. In the spirit of today's globalized and secular times, here are identified the conversions of the national ideals, aesthetical, economic, civilizational and moral ones (such as amorality and nihilism). Also there are submitted solutions well, thus, the human person, desiring to overcome his existential given, can affirm that person only in relation to God and his fellowmen. This freedom enables one to climb the stairs of excellence, which is not possible without climbing the stairs of perfection - from purification, to enlightenment and contemplation. Repentance is absolutely necessary for healing an unhumanized and demonized consciousness. From his youth, man is inclined to sin. The church world has never remained indifferent to what happens in human society, but sought to improve it. The author locates the harmful factors, which, in a society whose physical and moral source is of economic origin, religion is seen as an obstacle. And it is a mistake to impose Western civilization on the grounds that it would be superior to Orthodox one. After the failure and collapse of socialism in Eastern Europe, Orthodox Christians are offered the consumer society and the Wild West capitalism. Democracy is also a utopia, a form of disguised antitheism, anticlericalism and anti-morality.
