Rezumat

International relations of the MSSR in the years 1953-1954, being under the influence of the previous period, were fragmentary and limited almost exclusively only with episodic cultural contacts with Romania (with very few exceptions). In 1955 occurs the explosion of international contacts of republic with other countries, including the capitalist countries: Romania, Bulgaria, German Democratic Republic, Czech Republic, and even Jamaica. Moldova's international relations, which previously wore a "cultural" character, spread essentially. Republic’s leaders are attracted in political and diplomatic problems. With this, in their ranks begins the consciousness of its role: to represent the Moldovan statehood, although in the Soviet period it remained decorative.
