PROMOVAREA E-LEARNING-ULUI ÎN INSTITUŢIILE DE INVĂŢĂMÂNT SUPERIOR

In this article we will present our view on the subject that focuses on the issues associated with the pedagogic considerations and the need to associate the usefulness of technology to enhance the learning experience. Our main goal is to outline that the implications of E-Learning are extensive and universities must provide quality and flexibility to meet the diverse needs of students. The development of E-learning, as an alternative to traditional education, has generated different perceptions among the main players of university education - teachers and students. To emphasize these different perceptions, in our study, we have compared the traditional with online learning. As a result of our research, we have concluded that there is no finding to support that traditional learning is better than E-Learning, because the last one includes advantages which are not found in classic learning, such as: time for digesting the information and responding, the ability to conduct an open discussion, each learner gets more of an equal standing than in a face-to-face discussion. In the end we would like to mention that it is clear that our universities must change to accommodate demand in order to respond to a new competition from global universities.
