In the following article we intend to go over the status under which the Orthodox monasticism evaluated in the PrutDniester in the XIX–XX, a special emphasis during the Tsarist and Soviet regimes. This was not a coincidence, but to have a situation comparable to that segment of the spiritual life of the nominated geographic region.
