TRANSLATION AS INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN THE CONTEXT OF LINGUISTICS AS A SCIENCE OF CULTURE

Abstract
The article is dedicated to the study of the relationship between language and culture and of the place of translation in this ecosystem. Reasons are given to justify the representation of translation as intercultural communication. Differences between translation and localization, a term actively used in the translation market, are being pointed out.
