The article presents a critical and multidimensional analysis of G.Vieru’s monograph Duminica mare a lui Grigore Vieru, signed by the famous exegete Th.Codreanu. A very important purpose of the article ist o dissociate the new elements of G.Vieru’s interpretation, developed by Th.Codreanu. He analyses the motifs of light, tears, home, childhood etc. by finding some subtle similarities in M.Eminescu and G.Bacovia lyrics and considering them an important past of G.Vieru’s lyrics. Special attention is paid to Codreanu’s hermeneutics on orphism, musicality, polyphony and dialogism in Vieru’s lyrics.
