LE POUVOIR JUDICIAIRE DE LA LANGUE: VERS UNE SEMIOTIQUE DE LA PLAIDOIRIE

The present article deals with judicial discourse, including the pleading, which is analyzed from the point of view of the semiotic method and the method of the geometry of thought. The author considers both, the structure of the judicial discourse and its lexico-stylistic and philosophical content according to the evolution of judicial thought based on the example of France. The corpus consists of 43 judicial speeches, pleadings of lawyers, speeches of accusation and literary writings having the function of pleadings. The main conclusion that follows from the article is that the language has a judicial power. The pragmatic conclusions, drawn from the analyzed corpus, serve to set up an effective database for the implementation of a playful informative tool to teach legal eloquence to concerned students.
