HYPOSTASES OF SALIERI CHARACTER IN THE DRAMATIC OPERA ACHITAREA LUI SALIERI BY C.CHEIANU

Abstract

We intend to pursue, in our work, the hypostases that define Salieri as a character, in the dramatic opera Achitarea lui Salieri by C.Cheianu. Traditionally, the dramatic character is a textual construct, being characterized by the name assigned to it, by its role played throughout the intrigue and the whole action, but the dramatic character is also characterized by his own discourse. The playwright C.Cheianu attempts not to exaggerate the negative portrait of Salieri as a character, but the human side of his personality is quickly shaded by the virulence of his speech. The character discourse analysis provides a series of information on how to personalize and characterize dramatic characters.
