THE ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION COMPETENCE (THE DECLARATIVE COMPONENT) IN THE PROCESS OF INITIAL TEACHER TRAINING FOR PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATION This article outlines some results of the experimental fact finding the study of competence formation in environmental education in the process of training teachers for preschool and primary school accomplished in the Scientific Laboratory EcoEducationat the UPS „Ion Creanga”, Chisinău, at the end of the study year 2011-2012. It emphasized the assessment of the declarative component of the above mentioned competence. It concludes some deficiencies in the initial training of the teachers and proposes efficient solutions.
