Abstract

EDUCATION AND DECENT WORK (gender aspects) The concept of decent work is based on the understanding that work is a source of personal dignity and welfare, family stability, peace in the community. Or educating young people as future citizens for decent work is in itself a major strategy of providing opportunities for a decent life. This article is devoted to analysis of decent work’s approaches, gender equality issues as important component of decent work in the context of the social challenges, educational strategies to prevent discrimination in employment. The author presents the concrete examples from the experience of implementing the project “Fit for Fair – Global learning for decent work in the sportswear industry” (2013-2016), realized with the support of the European Commission in 6 countries.
