STUDENTS 'ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR TOWARD THE ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES: A PSYCHO-SOCIAL PERSPECTIVE The social challenges of the past 15-20 years marked significantly the individuals and communities. Among the values to which man reports nowadays his existence, are the environmental values, too. In this sense we conducted a survey on a sample of 308 students from Economics (Iași and Bălți) and Geography („Al.I.Cuza” University of Iasi). The aim is to analyze the linkage between personality, well-being, the level of life satisfaction and environmental values through attitudes and behaviors towards them. The results show that the socio-demographic and educational differences mark the perception of environmental values. The context of choosing this subject is given by the recognition of rela- tionships of interdependence between man and nature, explained inclusively by the mechanisms of social psychology.
