THEORETICAL APPROACHES TO THE READING MOTIVATION OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS The article addresses theoretically the problem of reading motivation in primary school pupils. It focuses on several definitions of the motivation of learning belonging to prominent personalities (P.Cornea, M.Golu, D.Vrabie), but also on how the motivation for reading can be developed in the pupils of primary classes. Awakening the motivation of pupils for reading is one of the final objectives of the activity carried out by the teacher with the pupils of primary classes. This is the starting point and also the key to success in the school activity for the teacher and their students, who are encouraged to read for the development of language, communication skills, behaviour, and general culture.
