THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF-ACCEPTANCE AND DYSFUNCTIONAL ATTITUDES IN PERSONS USING AESTHETIC MEDICINE The research of the psychological aspects of the beneficiaries of aesthetic medicine is a matter of current interest in the context of the considerable increase in the number of people using the services of the given industry, even if the movements oriented towards authenticity, self-acceptance and dethronement of general standards are progressing and developing. The choice of aesthetic medicine is the result of strict and internalised requirements and rules, resulting from the presence of dysfunctional basic beliefs about own incompetence, worthlessness and nothingness, which lead to the consolidation of dysfunctional attitudes about how the person should be and behave in order to feel better, and to confirm the existing cognitive schema. Keywords: self-acceptance, dysfunctional attitudes, beneficiaries of aesthetic medicine, cognitive schema, ideal-self, requirements.
