PSYCHOPEDAGOGICAL FUNDAMENTALS OF ADULT EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF NON-FORMAL EDUCATION The issue of adult education has been one of the most important challenges of the education systems in different parts of the world. On the one hand, this was caused by the informational, technological, cultural progress, but also of the aspirations which made more and more people want to deepen the compulsory formal studies. On the other hand, in order to face the increasingly intense competition, many people had to further develop in their fields of activity. But adults no longer learn in the same way as children do, which means that the teaching strategies used in their case must be somewhat different from those applied in schools. Thus, non-formal education has a special place in the training of adults; it is much more flexible and adapted both to their educational needs and to the learning particularities of these people. In this study we aim to make an analysis of the specifics of adult learning and to identify the place and role of non-formal teaching strategies for the success of the entire educational process.
