NON-FORMAL EDUCATION OF OLDER ADULTS FROM A GENDER PERSPECTIVE This article elucidates the specifics of non-formal education of older adults in the Republic of Moldova. In the context of an increase in the number of elderly people, the insufficiency of care services for the elderly, the need for training activities of community mobilisers is outlined, which would contribute to increasing the well-being of mobilising older adults, but also those mobilised by active involvement in community life. In the context of the theory of change, older people are agents who have the power to change and influence the management of public affairs, the life of the whole community. In this context, we highlight the importance of non-formal education of older people, but also the importance of taking into account the gender dimension, given the prevalence of women among the elderly.
