EDUCATIONAL VALUES OF LOCAL HORIZON / HOMELAND STUDY THROUGH PRACTICAL WORKS IN GEOGRAPHY IN GYMNASIUM EDUCATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA The article addresses the study of the “local horizon / homeland” in Geography classes from a geographical, patriotic and environmental education focus, of the formation of students' geographical culture. The presented findings reflect the experimentation of some didactic approaches in 3 schools, which confirms the research hypothesis. Focusing on studying the “local horizon / homeland” increases the motivation of students to get to know the “little homeland” as well as possible, which essentially contributes to the formation of a personality according to the educational ideal of the school in our country.
