BECOMING: IN SEARCH OF AN INDIGENOUS CONCEPT ON EDUCATION In this work, we carry out a lexical-morphological, philosophical and epistemological analysis of the term Becoming. The complexity and depth of this word places it in the category of concepts. It can be generalized to express the specifics of Romanian pedagogy. We make a connection of the term Becoming and the specific German concept of Bildung. We refer to the logical-semantic approaches of Romanian verbs, especially the verbs of becoming. Specifying that, "Domine Deus" is the finality (of) our coming, we make a ticimation to the philosophical ideas of Constantin Noica regarding the ontological model of our becoming. A developed educational infrastructure, a high level of competence to learn to learn, motivation to learn – together or through functional combinations, contribute to the sustainability of lifelong learning, a functional expression of Becoming.
