TEACHING PROFESSIONALISM – FROM COMPETENCE TO TEACHING PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE IN THE PATH OF PROFESSIONALIZATION OF THE TEACHING CAREER Currently, the importance of professionalism and performance of employees in the education system is increasingly highlighted, beacause their level of performance directly influences the image of the institution in which they operate. In this article, the concepts of didactic professionalism, competence and professional performance were addressed in the view of researches such as: L.Pogolșa, V.Andrițchi, V.Gh. Cojocaru, V.Slastenin, А.Dercaci and I.Cuzmina, stating that a competent and competitive teacher manifests himself through professionalism, responsibility, work, objective mood, etc. The teacher, certainly, contributes to the realization of the most valuable product – the “professional”, creating material and spiritual goods that will lead to a perpetual progress of society.
