The study specifies the priorities of the educational process subjects in relation to the content of the programs on “Physical Education” and options for their correction. The survey results indicate the exceptional popularity of the activities with a high level of motor activity among students. However, more than half of the respondents are not satisfied with the existing form of lessons conducting and slightly less with their content. It was established that it is impossible to bring the content of the lesson on “Physical Education” in line with the students’ wishes. The preferences of the educational process main subjects also do not coincide. The argument determining the priorities of teachers in relation to content is the ease of performing professional duties, while for students it is emotionality and diversity. A survey of the students showed that their preferences are sports games and activities aimed at motor potential increasing. At the same time, priority is given to sports that are impossible to practice due to the lack of
necessary conditions. Thus, the state policy in relation to physical education should not be limited to “juggling” the sports included in the curriculum. The data obtained allowed us to formulate students’ complaints about the form of conducting the “physical education” lesson and its content, and to specify measures to improve the quality of the educational process. Attempts to make the lesson more attractive, given the existing organization and material and technical support of the educational process, are acquiring the features of a distant prospect.
