Abstract

The establishing of the optimum technological conditions for the deposition of cadmium stanate (Cd2SnO4) by pulverization method on a glass and indium phosphate (InP) substrates and studies of electrophysical and optical properties of the obtained layers were the objectives of the given paper. The cadmium stanate layers were grown in an oxygen flow from cadmium chloride (CdCl2·2,5H2O) and tin chloride (SnCl4·5H2O) dissolved in ethyl alcohol having a molarities of (0.1-0.3)M at a substrate temperature in the range of (250…450)°C. The electrophysical properties of the obtained layers in dependence on CdCl2·2.5H2O and SnCl4·5H2O components ratio in the solutions used at pulverization and on deposition temperature were studied. The investigation of the optical properties of the layers had shown that these layers are transparent in the wavelength region of (250….1300) nm. The possibility of Cd2SnO4 oxides growth by pulverization method and using of the obtained layers as an interlayer in pInP-nCdS photovoltaic structure was shown. Keywords: cadmium stanate (Cd2SnO4), electrophysical properties, transmittance.
