ON THE POTENTIAL METHOD FOR THE DEGENERATE TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM

Abstract

We study the transportation problem and make some observations about cases or situations that can appear during the process of solution with the potential method. In addition, we expose an approach to improve the potential method to solve efficiently the degenerate transportation problems. Keywords: transportation problem, degenerate solution, optimal solution.
