Abstract

A self-consistent solution was found for the longitudinal dielectric function by the method of infinitesimal perturbations, taking into account correlations in the electron Fermi liquid with the coulombiană interaction of arbitrary strength. It was shown that the damping of long-wave plasmons is due to their scattering by electrons. Keywords: Fermi liquid. Longitudinal dielectric function. Dispersion law. Damping of plasma oscillations.
