Mihai LESCU Universitatea de Stat din Moldova
Abstract
In this article, the author focuses his attention on examining the activity of the Vector European video magazine at the Moldova 1 station of the National Public Broadcasting institution “Teleradio-Moldova”, on the coverage of European integration. He tries to highlight the causes behind the transition of the Republic of Moldova from the “success story” in terms of implementing the commitments of integration to a “failed state” of European policies. This occurred despite many years of consistent and multi-aspectual coverage ofthe issue of European integration and our country’s rapprochement to the European Community by our media, especially the TV channel Moldova 1. The analysis undertaken gives the author the opportunity to come up with concrete reflections on the recovery of the situation in the field of local media coverage of European integration.
