Abstract
The article revisits the discussion about the digital age that brought significant transformation in how we communicate and how we process information and interpret meanings. In this context, semiotics becomes an essential tool
for understanding the complexity of our messages, digital symbols, and signs, as well as for delving into the philosophical depths of these phenomena. Throughout this article we will address topics such as the significance of signs in
the digital era, interpretation and media semiotics, the impact of digital communication on social semiotics, and the
evolving informational culture. We will also explore the role of semiotics in the context of emerging technologies,
such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
