Аннотация

In this paper the study of the influence of interfaces from SnO2/CdS/CdTe and SnO2/TiO2/ CdS / CdTe photovoltaic devices on photovoltaic parameters of the devices are discussed. It was determined the chemical status of elements and compounds present at the interface. It was established that the factor that lower especially short-circuit current density in the SnO2/TiO2/ CdS /CdTe solar cell is TiS2 which for a single atomic layer has a band gap of 1.0 eV. Thus, TiO2/TiS2 interface potential barrier is formed which leads to decrease of the concentration of charge carriers, and respectively, to the decrease of the efficiency of solar energy conversion into electricity. Keywords: solar cells, XPS, interface, CdS, CdTe.
