Аннотация

Considering their configuration, the mass media in the Moldovan SSR represented the concentrated expression of the Soviet regime’s official ideology. The activity of the press was oriented to make agitation, propaganda and educate/re- educate the masses in the spirit of Soviet patriotism and proletarian internationalism. At the same time, the activity of the Soviet press was organised according to extremely rigid standards and its production was intensely censored. The journalists tried to “dilute” the ideological contents and they were succeeding to humanise them. The humanisation of the Soviet press was achieved through utilitarian and entertainment information, as well as through personalised socio- cultural journalistic materials, which sensitised the public. Journalists searched to humanise the ways of approaching reality, to animate journalistic production and to bring it closer to ordinary people, using different humanisation practices to achieve those goals.
