INFLUENCE OF STORAGE CONDITIONS ON CHANGES IN SOME QUALITY INDICATORS OF APPLE TREE FRUITS

Rezumat

The article presents the results of studies conducted on apple fruits of late varieties Idared, Golden Spur and
Mantuanskoe. It was shown that as a result of the use of the film-forming preparation ,,Pelecol” in fruit tissues, due
to a decrease in oxygen concentration and an increase in carbon dioxide, the consumption of sugars (sucrose and the
sum of sugars) was reduced compared to the control. A more intense decomposition of sucrose was observed in fruits
when stored under normal atmosphere conditions. The data obtained showed that at the end of storage, the sugar
consumption of apple fruits of the Idared variety treated with a film-forming preparation at a concentration of 1,0%
decreased to a greater extent compared to other varieties.
