In the study of the effects of combined extracts derived from medicinal plants of the families Asteraceae (Compositae) and Lamiaceae (Labiatae), the drug amiloyodin, and tissue preparations on some key indicators of protein, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism (total protein, albumin, globulin, the albumin-to-globulin ratio (A/G) in blood volume units, glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, and the triglyceride-to-cholesterol ratio (Ty/Chol)), it was established that the use of these agents promotes energy resource accumulation and metabolic activation with simultaneous energy savings; increased tissue hydrophilicity, which enhances the transport of cations, anions, bilirubin, bile salts, vitamins, and certain fatty acids; an increase in albumin and globulin levels, thereby potentiating more intensive immunization through active antibody formation; stimulation of uterine tone, which contributes to faster cleansing and tissue recovery of the endometrium. The results of this study indicate that the newly developed agents containing natural biologically active substances (tissue preparations and preparations based on plant extracts and iodine) do not have a negative impact on the health of the animals.
Keywords: biologically active substances, medicinal plants, amiloyodin, biochemical blood parameters.
