Abstract

THE COMPARATIVE FREE AMINO ACIDS CONTENT IN BLOOD AND SALIVA

The total free amino acids content in saliva is lower than in the serum, and there was observed most significant decrease in the essential amino acids. The sulfur-containing amino acids content among the functional groups of FAA is most closely in both biological fluids. There were found distribution differences in the nitrogen metabolism products in serum and saliva. The absolute content of urea in saliva is 1,2 times higher than that in the serum, and of ammonia is 2,4 times higher.

Keywords: free amino acids, mixed saliva, serum, nitrogen metabolism, hormones, a functional group.
