Abstract

AMINO ACID METABOLISM IN ENDOGENOUS INTOXICATIONS 

Diagnostics of endogenous intoxication is based on a comprehensive assessment of the severity of the toxic factor, the state of detoxification systems and the degree of tissue damage. The content of sulfur-containing amino acids, in parti-cular, methionine and its derivative glutathione, as well as aromatic amino acids and metabolic products of histidine, can be considered as informative markers of endogenous intoxication.
