Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF HUMIC ACIDS ON CYSTEINE'S PHOTOCHEMICAL TRANSFORMATIONS  IN AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT 

The results of the kinetic study of photo-oxidation of cysteine in the presence of humic acids, on model systems, irradiation with different artificial sources of radiation are presented in this paper. The values of the initial oxidation velocities and the determined effective rate constants are in line with the literature data, being 10-8-10-9 M/s and 10-4-10-5s-1respectively.
