Abstract

THE USE OF RESVERATROL AS NATURAL SUPPLEMENT IN DAILY FOOD RATION  FOR ALBINO LABORATORY RATS ON EXPERIMENTAL DIABETES 

In diabetes mellitus, an adequate food constitutes, in addition to medication and physical exercises, one of the three basic elements of treatment. Following a certain diet can be helpful for getting an optimum glycemic balance, as well as improvement of lipid metabolism. Being considered a natural source of longevity, the use of resveratrol as natural supplement can replace, in an effective way, refined aliments with high glucose and fructose concentrations.
