Abstract

PARASITOFAUNA OF DOMESTIC BIRDS MAINTAINED IN A TRADITIONAL EXPLOITATION SYSTEM IN THE CENTRAL AREA OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

În the traditional poultry farming system, the extent of the invasion is increased (100%), thus contributing to the mass spread of parasitic agents and to the massive environmental pollution. Irregular deworming or sometimes even lack thereof, the uninterrupted contact of domestic birds with wild ones, as well as the massive pollution of bird´s sites with parasitic elements with various forms of infestation, is the cause of maintaining a high level of infestation.
