Abstract

GENDER DIFFERENCES IN THE AMINO-ACID SPECTRUM OF BLOOD SERUM AND ERYTHROCYTES IN PATIENTS WITH CORONAVIRUS

Gender differences in the biochemistry and hormonal background of the body of men and women attest to their uneven reaction to the occurrence and evolution of viral infection. Currently, there is a lack of data on the gender peculiarities of the content of free amino acids in erythrocytes, which play an important role in providing the body with oxygen, especially during COVID-19 infection. The article presents for the first time the results of studies on gender peculiarities of amino acid metabolism in people infected with COVID-19. Keywords: gender differences, viral infection, coronavirus, amino acids, biochemistry, immunity, COVID-19.
